When a street camera captured a man dropping a cardboard box and running away, no one knew a tiny pup was inside.
An hour later, the same man returned. Seeing the box untouched, he picked it up.
At first, it seemed like he regretted leaving the dog. But moments later, he put the box down again and took off.
Inside, a tiny Yorkshire Terrier sat alone, drenched by the rain. Helpless and scared, he waited for someone to find him. Luckily, a local animal rescue arrived just in time.
Even after drying off, the poor pup couldn’t stop shivering.

A vet examination revealed an injury to his back legs. No one knew how it happened. Thankfully, it wasn’t life-threatening and wouldn’t affect his life too much.
Once his bloodwork confirmed he was healthy, the little pup—now named Enzo—was ready to leave the vet.
At first, he was terrified. Everything around him was new. He kept looking around, unsure of his surroundings.
His new owner gently placed food in front of him, reassuring him he was safe. Slowly, Enzo started to trust.
Soon, he realized he was out of danger. He crawled out of his blankets and even started playing. He was still weak, though, struggling to walk.

The vet advised his owner to encourage movement to strengthen his muscles. Determined to help, his hooman came up with a clever idea.
Enzo loved a certain toy, so his owner made it “come to life.” Moving it away, he urged Enzo to chase it.

Before long, the toy was no longer the main attraction. Enzo started running to his hooman instead, showering him with kisses and cuddles.
Other dogs didn’t care much for playing with him. But Enzo didn’t mind. He had his hooman and his toys—what more could he need?
He loved his new life. To celebrate three weeks in his forever home, he even got a little cake to share with his toys.
Enzo’s story had a happy ending. But not every abandoned pup is so lucky. If you can’t care for your dog, take them to a shelter. Don’t leave them alone and afraid. Give them a second chance at happiness.
