When my wife told me her Yorkies don’t shed, I was like “yeah, right.” Filed that under things that aren’t true. Sure, they probably don’t shed as much, since they’re so small, but they have to shed.
They really do not shed! Now I live with two Yorkies, I can tell you it’s extremely rare to find dog hair on you. Sure, every dog sheds a little, but I have never been around a dog that sheds as little as Yorkies.
Not only do they not shed, but they also have human-like hair. What does that mean? It’s hypoallergenic, which means it’s beneficial for people with allergies.

Yorkies are known for being extremely loyal. They develop incredibly strong bonds with their owners and the affection and loyalty they show you is unmatched.
#3 – They Live Longer Than Most Breeds
It’s very common for Yorkies to live longer than 15 breeds. If you give them proper care you will have a little best buddy for a long time.

Their small size combined with their adventurous personality makes them great travel buddies. Whether you want to hit the road or take them on a plane, Yorkies make a great travel buddy.

You might think they are too small to be a guard dog. Odds are if you’ve been around a Yorkie you’ve heard them bark. They are very alert.
Some might say too alert. My Yorkies bark from the time someone comes in sight until that person is completely out of sight. They might be small, but they guard their home!
